Could Old Dominion get a spot in the American Athletic Conference?

With all that is going on in the Big XII, if they invite AAC members it will open up spots. The ODU beat writer in Norfolk seems to want one for ODU. They just got into C-USA, so that would be a fast track move.

He also is suggesting that UConn is pushing for the AAC to bring in UMass. Since UMass doesn't have a conference, that makes sense. UMass and Temple have history in the Atlantic 10, so they may have a couple of sponsors. He also talks about Southern Miss. I would think Tulane would be sponsoring them as well.
